As part of Public Art Now, we developed a set of principles to provoke and inspire what public art is, what it can be and where it can take place.
The rules have proved a catalyst for debate on many levels. These are not a didactic set of ‘rules’ but a provocative set of possibilities. They have also inspired two new sets of principles for the cities of Melbourne and Plymouth as well as Rules for a Playful Museum at Manchester Museum.
